Riyadh – Mubasher: The head of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage (SCTH) has so far issued more than 400,000 tourism visas, according to chairman Ahmed Al Khatib.
Al Khatib remarks came during the inaugural Municipal Investment Forum (Furas), held in Riyadh on 24-26 February.
This number of visas was issued during a five-month period, since Saudi Arabia launched the tourist visa programme on 27 September 2019.
The program’s first phase saw visitors from 49 countries allowed visa-free entry to the kingdom.
Moreover, holders of US, UK, and Schengen visas have been giving priority by the commission.
Today, SCTH launched new services to electronically obtain licenses for tourism activities in record time.
